Development of the hospital was, slowly but steadily in progress. Since the mentally handicapped, physically handicapped and the hearing impaired students regularly needed medical checks and treatment, Dr. Karim joined the hospital as a part time Orthopedic Surgeon. When he left us in 1983, Dr. S.L. Patidar joined us as full time Orthopedic Surgeon.
We had on our staff Dr. Vijay Pagare, Physician and Cardiologist: Dr. Pant, Pediatrician, Dr. Pradeep Chouray, ENT surgeon and Dr. Sunil, Ophthalmologist for a short while. In 1991 a maternity department was opened with Dr. (Sr.) Herman Joseph on the medical staff. 
As soon as the school of the hearing impaired was shifted, extension of the hospital began. The Boys dormitory was converted into a surgical ward and a number of semiprivate rooms. Two more class rooms were converted into two private rooms and three semi private rooms.
From 1994 extension and development of the hospital was rapidly progressing. A spacious and upto date pathology-Lab with up to date computerized equipment, was blessed by Archbishop Eugene DSouza in 1993. The very next year, 1994, Sonography was started. After all these great achievements in the development of the hospital, Sr. Immaculata handed over her charge to Sr. Lorraine as the next Administrator. In 1995 Sr. Lorraine plunged into vigorous development all round. Provident Fund for the hospital Employees was started in 1996. The Urology department was also begun. Doctors got their own Chambers. A Jeep-Ambulance was purchased by the end of 1996. The Interplast Team headed by Dr. Nicholai visited Asha Niketan and conducted Plastic Surgery in 1996. This Team continues its free services till today.
This year 1997, saw many other developments. The registration counter was computerized. A dispensary was started. The old Nurses hostel was made into a beautiful bed room for the physically handicapped children with a new spacious toilet attached. In 1998 a Reception counter was opened. A Dharmasala founded by the Help Age of India, and a Dental department was opened. A new hostel for resident Nurses was blessed by Archbishop Pascal Topno on 31.10.1998.
A solar heating system was installed on 20.01.1999 and a heavy generator for the entire hospital, was installed on 04.02.1999.
The following facilities are available today :-
100 beds (General wards, Semi-private rooms, private rooms and A.C. Rooms with the services of well qualified and dedicated nurses.

  • Radiology department with 500 MA machine for all investigations and XRays.
  • Pathology department : Computerized auto analyser for all types of investigations, Bacteriology culture and sensitivity testing.
  •  Ultrasound, echocardiography, E.C.G. Cardiac Monitor, Nebulizer, Incubator, Phototherapy, Doppler for foetal heart and Immunization.
  • Physiotheapy department with equipped modern machines and highly qualified physiotherapists.
  • Physiotherapy students come from Ritu Memorial hospital.
  • Air-condioned Operation Theater for all types of surgical procedures.
